This is a model of a heavy American SD 40 diesel locomotive painted and lettered for the SP (Southern Pacific Railroad) in the design of the UP (Union Pacific Railroad), shortly after the takeover by UP. Paint and lettering are prototypical for Era V. Both trucks are driven by powerful Bühler motors with ball bearings. The locomotive is equipped with traction tires and has a built-in MFX/DCC decoder for a variety of digitally controlled authentic sound and light functions. Running sounds work in analog operation. There are many separately applied details and doors to the cab can be opened. Length over the couplers 63 cm / 24-13/16".
